Study on Immunoglobulin G to the Antigen of Vibrio vulnificus serovar O1 tpe

Abstract
Immune rabbits with the antigen of Vibrio vulnificus O1 type, the immunobiochemical detection tests in serums were studied and after the isolation and purification of IgG from serum, the molecular weight and immunological reactions of purified
IgG
were
studied.
@ ES The results obtained were as follows:
@EN 1. In the tests of antibody production, the highest dilution titer of rabbit immuized with McFarland No.5 O antigen was showed 1:2560 at 29 days, after fourth injection.
2. In the test of cellulose acetate electrophoresis, the amounts of albumin and a2- globulin were decreased and the amounts of¥ã-globulin were increased.
3. In the immunoelectrophoresis, IgG was showed homogenous arc.
4. The molecular weight of the purified IgG was estimated to be about 200,000 by gel filtration.
5. In the precipitation reaction of IgG, the equivalent point of the purified IgG against the anti whole serum and anti¥ã-globulin of 10 fold dilution was showed 40 fold dilution and 20 fold dilution, respectively.
6. In the immunodiffusion reaction of IgG, the precipitation halo of the purified IgG of 10, 20 and 40 fold dilution against anti whole serum of 10 or 20 fold dilution was showed 0.4, 0.7 and 0.4cm, respectively.
7. In the complement fixation reaction of IgG, the highest CH50 unit of fraction¥°-1,¥±-1 and¥²-1 was showed 7.5, 10 and 5, respectively.
